Dr. Rapoport hails from Middletown, New York. He was selected for the accelerated undergraduate and medical school program of Union University, Schenectady, New York, and Albany Medical College. Rob was elected to both Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Societies during his college and medical school years.

Rob completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a full two year fellowship in Neuroradiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received full certification by the American Board of Radiology in 1993, and the Board's Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology in 1995. He is the author of several scientific papers, and has served as a consultant on open style magnet design for leading MRI manufacturers.

Dr. Rapoport began his career as a staff neuroradiologist at Albany Medical Center Hospital, and was director of its residency program in diagnostic radiology. He joined the medical imaging staff of St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY, in 1999. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the success of our companion practice, Albany Advanced Imaging, Dr. Rapoport was chosen by his fellow founding members to oversee the organization of Clifton Park Advanced Imaging. He serves as our first President and Medical Director.

Rob is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.

Dr. Rapoport lives with his family in Delmar, New York, and is an avid tennis player
